Ice Storm- in all its glory

These were taken the morning of the ice storm (12-19-08). I took them outside my door here at our apartment complex. I didn't get any pictures of the damage it caused. I tried to capture the beauty of the storm!

Christmas Party

Look who visited the residents at my apartment complex?! I was asked by the staff to take photos at their yearly Christmas party. Here's a few that I took that night.

Sis's "Mini" Christmas Shoot

My youngest sis, Ruthie, asked me to take some pictures of her and her "baby" Ranger. Ruthie made some cute Christmas card with her new pics. Of course Hunter wanted a picture with his Aunt Ruthie so I couldn't resist.

Awaiting Miss. Lily

I have known the expectant Daddy since 1st grade. They asked for me to take some maternity pictures for them. The day after the photo shoot, they welcomed their little girl into the world. Talk about great timing!! Congrants Nate and Mandy!

Fort Wayne Children's Zoo

I love visiting our local zoo! After church, the family went and walked around for a while. I love the monkeys and watching the sealions. Hunter loves the kangaroos! I'm anxious for the African Journey to open in 2009!

Boys and Tractors

Yesterday, August 23rd, was spent at the Tri State Gas & Engine Show in Adam's home town. Adam's family collects and restors antique tractors and trucks. This is a LARGE show they attend yearly. Our family went and spent a large portion of the hot, sticky, day there. Hunter loved the show only if he was either riding on his daddy's shoulders or on a tractor.

My sis, Char

My sister, Char, just rescently got her hair cut. She hasn't had a "short" cut for quite some time. I told her I'd come over and take some new pictures for her. I did her hair and makeup too. Just thought I'd share a couple pics with you.

The Voght's

Here's a couple new pictures of the Voght's. All I need now is an "updated" photo of Adam. I've finally figured how to set it up so I can see the picture on my laptop after it's been taken.

On the Farm

I have had my Nikon D50 camera for a year now. Currently, I consider myself a "self taught" photographer. I finally decided to shoot in Manual. Thanks to some help from my sister-in-law I got the camera set up to shoot (easier than I thought). These are a few pictures that were taken (in manual) at my husband's family "farm."

The Botanical Conservatory

A couple weekends ago, we visited our local Botanical Conservatory with friends of ours. Hunter and his friend Mollie had a great time "playing" with the butterflys!

Photographer & L.M.P.

My name is Mary Beth. I graduated college with an associates degree in graphic design. I worked in my field for a year, before I had my son, Hunter. I am now a work from home mom.
I wouldn't have thought in a million years that I would love to make photography my career but that's what I want to do when "I grow up!" You will rarely see me with out a camera. I am currently taking classes through the New York Institute of Photography! I enjoy taking childrens photos, though I will take photos for families, special occasions, weddings, you name it. I do not have a studio yet (that is a goal in the very near future). For the time being, Lasting Memories Photography (me) will come to you. You are able to decide on a location that would work for your photo shoot. Lasting Memories Photography is completely experimental-based, allowing you to get quality photos without the "professional" cost!
